Faithful Friday with the News Breaker

Faithful Friday- nightmares after a cancer diagnosis ( a sketch by author)

Faithful Friday with the News Breaker

This is a poetic triplet (tercet) depicting faith and the anguish after a cancer diagnosis.

They come to break the cancer news
decision over treatments, I muse
with meditative prayers and cues.

Vegetarian I am on Fridays
Feeling dispirited, in malaise
At times, in denial, fiercely ablaze.

In your hand I take it all in a stride
though tears came and dried
this journey I will take under your guide.

  1. Be faithful in small things because it is them that your strength lies. – Mother Teresa
