Going Haiku
Many bloggers write Haiku. Haiku is a Japanese poem. It has seventeen syllables arranged in three short lines of five, seven, and five. These lines do not rhyme. Haiku is used to describe images in the natural world. It is latching onto me!

Examples of Haikus
“The Old Pond” by Matsuo Bashō (one of the four great masters of Haiku.)
An old silent pond
A frog jumps into the pond—
Splash! Silence again.
“A World of Dew” by Kobayashi Issa (another great Haiku master,)
A world of dew,
And within every dewdrop
A world of struggle.
“Lighting One Candle” by Yosa Buson
The light of a candle
Is transferred to another candle—
Spring twilight
